Went to the cinema this evening for the first time in ages. I saw a trailer for the film version of Frank Miller’s 300. I have a vague memory of the graphic novel but never got around to buying it. The trailer looks amazing and I was jumping up and down in my seat at the sight of an amour clad battle rhino. It also appears to be a very, very good adaptation and very rich in theme.
Fortunately. managed to catch the original on TV this afternoon too.
Was a bit disappointed with Babel. I liked the way the characters’ stories were meshed together and the effect they had on each other but feel that the character development suffered in achieving this.
